Unfortunately some very good stories have more than 500 words so are disqualified. Stories already submitted may be resubmitted in future months with some editing to qualify them.

Keep writing your stories about yourself and Emily, Amy, Jasmine and Belle. Remember to keep them short and interesting. Funny is always good too.

This is her story...

HELP US WE ARE LOST!

One day I went to the forest with my friends Hannah and Amy. Amy is my Australian Doll friend. The forest had a lot of great climbing trees. We once went camping there (but not in the trees!). One particular day my friends and I got lost. I will tell you about it.

Well........... We went on a walk in the long grass where there are snakes (we took a stick to scare them away), and we got lost! We were scared, worried and upset. We were afraid of the snakes. Suddenly Amy was taller than me (Amy is Shorter than me normally). Low and behold there was Nugget, Emily’s pet wombat (he had burrowed up under Amy). We said, “Nugget, go and get Emily please. We are lost and Emily will know what to do.” So off he went.

In about 15 minutes Emily came on some stilts. We asked,” What are they for?” “They are for seeing over the grass tops to see where you were,” said Emily, “ I’m glad you stayed in one place. When you get lost in the Australian bush you must stay still and wait for help to arrive. And here is the help- it’s me!” Emily knew the way out and lead the way on stilts. Eventually we were safe and we went home. Nugget had a special treat, we had a cup of Milo and the mums had a cup of tea. Thank goodness we did not meet any snakes after all. The End. .
