Thank you to all those who entered last month's story competiton.
Unfortunately some very good stories have more than 500 words so are disqualified. Stories already submitted may be resubmitted in future months with some editing to qualify them.
Keep writing your stories about yourself and Emily, Amy, Jasmine and Belle. Remember to keep them short and interesting. Funny is always good too.

This is her story...
A BLAST FROM THE PAST
Matilda was home from boarding school at Emily’s house. Emily had been busy showing her all the animals on the station for most of the day, it had been an exhausting day and she curled up on the sofa to wait for the dinner that she could smell being cooked in the kitchen.
Suddenly she saw a bright green tree frog hopping across the floor out the door, she jumped up and followed it. Down across the lawn it hopped to the shimmering waterfalls at the bottom of the garden.
She began to call Emily to have a look at the bright green tree frog and Emily came around the corner, Matilda was very surprised. "Why are you dressed in that bright pink frilly flowing dress with a bonnet on your head" she asked. Emily just laughed and ran off around the corner. Matilda followed her up to the house and was amazed and excited to see her getting into a carriage being pulled by a horse, giddee-up said the driver and off they trotted. Matilda felt a tap on her shoulder "Excuse me which way is it to the goldfields? I am off to try my luck". She turned around and there was a strange looking man standing next to her with braces and long black pants on tucked into is boots, he had a curly wurly mustache and an eyepiece with a chain hanging off it. Matilda gasped and all she could do was point to the hills in the west. Then Matilda heard the neighing and turned around, there were three policemen on their horses with pistols on there belts, "Have you seen a jumbuck thief around here?" they asked her. Matilda looked at them in shock, "What was going on?" she thought. Bang, Bang, Bang - dinner time, the gong rang out.
Matilda woke up startled - it was all a dream, she was a little disappointed. Matilda sat at the table next to Emily, - "Lamb stew for tea,” her aunty said. Matilda laughed. “My favourite”, she said.
