Unfortunately some very good stories have more than 500 words so are disqualified. Stories already submitted may be resubmitted in future months with some editing to qualify them.

Keep writing your stories about yourself and Emily, Amy, Jasmine, Belle and Matilda. Remember to keep them short and interesting. Funny is always good too.

This is her story...

It started one Saturday morning when a young netball STAR named Amy met another netball STAR named Shannnen. Amy was on the way to her netball game and Shannen was walking home from her game because it had been cancelled. Amy walked up to Shannen and said, "Hi I'm Amy, do you play netball?"

 

Shannen said, "Hi I'm Shannen and yes, I play Goal Defense, why do you ask?"

 

"I asked because my team the PINK and GREEN GALAHS is one player short, our Goal defense Mandy is MISSING and to top it off today is our grand final," said Amy disappointedly.

 

"Well I would LOVE to play Goal Defense for you!" exclaimed Shannen.

 

"That would be great, I think we have a spare uniform in the clubroom," said Amy "I'll go look".

 

Thankfully there was another uniform. So the girls played a great game with Amy the outstanding Goal Keeper and Shannen the outstanding Goal Defense, they co-operated amazingly well. The game started off very even until half way when the PINK and GREEN GALAHS rocketed up above the other team leaving them chasing far behind, leading them to a well-deserved victory.

 

"So Amy, didn't you say that your Goal Defense is MISSING?" asked Shannen.

 

"Yes I did Shannen, why?" replied Amy.

 

"Well if she is MISSING than we should go find her!" exclaimed Shannen.

 

"We should, but where do we start?" said Amy.

 

"Well I guess we should go to Mandy's house and see if there are any clues" said Shannen.

 

"Great idea Shannen!" exclaimed Amy.

 

"Amy you can call me Shanny, that's what all my friends call me, we're friends aren't we?" asked Shannen.

 

"We sure are Shanny!" exclaimed Amy.

 

So the two friends went to Mandy's house and underneath the doormat there was a letter. It said,

Dear Amy

 

My family has moved overseas because (please don't tell anyone) my dad is a secret spy agent and he has a secret mission. It's in Kazakhstan so we are moving there for good. I am sorry that I won't be able to play Goal Defense for the PINK and GREEN GALAHS but it's a sacrifice our family had to make. Good-bye, I'm not coming back any time soon but that doesn't mean we will never see each other again. Sincerely your friend Mandy!

"Well, I think that we have solved the mystery of Mandy don't you?" asked Shannen.

 

"Yes," said Amy. "But what will we do about our Goal Defense? Hey, I think that you should be our permanent Goal Defense because you are a great player and we work great together. What do you think?" asked Amy.

 

"I think that's a great idea, I would love to!" exclaimed Shannen.

 

Every netball game from then on was fantastic fun because of the friendship of Shannen and Amy.
